Had an amazing hack on Sunday, first time after having my little boy , was a little nervous but the staff were so lovely and reassuring before and during the hack . And summer was the best pony and kept me safe throughout the full hack 😌.

Originally came to support a friend I have coached .Lack of good quality schoolmaster type was holding her training back. Very proud of what she has achieved in a short number of sessions. Kate has been very encouraging and takes on board the differences ,but very much putting ability into disability! we have high hopes for our friend!

Been riding for years, but never seen grounds quite like

these! The staff are super friendly, very welcoming, and very knowledgeable.
Patient and compassionate and cater to riders of all levels.

After 5 years off riding and a really bad fall I was SO nervous to get back on board. Kate instantly put me at ease and went at a pace I was comfortable with. The horse I rode, Betty was an absolute saint and gave me so much confidence. I can't recommend Turlood highly enough. Very professional yard with lovely staff and fantastic horses.

I have loved my lessons at Turlood! After having a break from riding - Turlood has helped me back into the saddle- I am an advanced rider and have been working on lateral work as well as jumping and it was been superb with Betty being a wonderful horse to ride! Looking forward to my next lessons!

Cant recommend this place enough.

Had 4 lessons and every one of them has been excellent. I feel it is the first time I have had clear proper instruction & help in how to ride correctly & safely. All the staff are friendly, helpful & professional. Plus the horses are great too!! Highly recommend to anyone

My daughter had a great wee day at the Easter event, lovely staff that took great care of her and such a safe and friendly environment will definitely be booking again.

We visited for the Easter Pony Event and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. My boys had a great time grooming and riding their ponies, Minty and Tom Thumb. The Easter craft and animal feeing were an added bonus. We finished off with a visit to the tuck shop and a play in the park. We had a great time and will definitely be back for a group riding lesson. Thanks for a lovely day!

My daughter spent three days here for own a pony day and she had a fantastic time staff are amazing spend a lot of time with the kids building there confidence would highly recommended turlood.

Today was the first time my kids had a riding lesson here. What they achieved today was amazing, the instructor and assistant were absolutely brilliant with my kids and they can’t wait to go back! I’m also going to book a lesson . Place is very professional , well maintained and staff are so welcoming.The indoor are brilliant and ideal for the rainy days! The pony’s my kids were on were absolutely brilliant , great natured and well looked after! I want to steal minty Would highly recommend! Can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic day with my little girl ! Zarah loves the trek 'into the woods' even more so now with all the Christmas decorations and the Christmas activities at the end are brilliant fun for everyone

What a great experience today at the Christmas pony trek. For a little girl that loves horses today was perfect for her. Nancy her little pony for the trek was so cute dressed up and very gentle with my daughter. The letter to Santa, decorating your horse shoe and making your own reindeer food was a fantastic touch. Some lovely Christmas memories made. Friendly staff and well organised. We will 100% be back. Thank you for a really lovely day.

Took my niece for pony ride and pumpkin picking today for a wee treat and she loved it. Everything was well thought out staff were great and ponies were just so placid. Aria got to ride tomthumb who was a wee star. Great value for money cant wait to bring Aria back for a proper lesson

Great day out for the kids at the Halloween trek and pumpkin carving well thought out and pony leaders were fab will definitely be back for a trek of my own and get the kids involved in some lessons

Had a great first riding lesson today with Amy at Turlood Equestrian, can’t recommend it enough! Such a good set-up, for all ages and abilities. I’ve ridden before as a teenager but had no proper instruction. Not planning to own a horse or compete, just want to learn enough to go on occasional hacks, but it’s certainly an enjoyable thing to do for your mental wellbeing, especially at the moment.

Had my first ever trek out today on the lovely Skye was a bit nervous but felt totally at ease once we got going the staff picked the perfect horses for me and my friend will definitely be back hoping to get a few lessons in the next few weeks

Alfie & Harris had the best day today . Grooming the pony’s , then a pony ride . The set up was fabulous and the walk we took had been filled with Halloween fun. Witches, ghosts , pumpkins. Absolutely fabulous. My youngest son was a little unsure at first on the Pony but the girls just knew exactly what to do and in the end they had a brilliant time . To top it all off we took part in pumpkin picking and carving . From booking, health & safety , the whole experience the team couldn’t have done more for us .

Been coming to Turlood for a good few months now for private lessons, and it is great. Celeste is such a brilliant instructor and all staff so friendly and helpful. And just love riding the gorgeous Summer

I am a total riding novice and I cannot wait for my lesson each week!! Everyone that works there is friendly and helpful, and the tutors are so patient. As are the horses! I feel totally at ease when I’m there and get so much out of each session. Thank you!

Had my 2nd lesson today after 3 years of no riding and it was amazing as was the first lesson! So thankful to Aimee for making us both comfortable and making the lessons thoroughly enjoyable! I would highly recommend to anyone to take lessons here! Such a great environment, instructor and of course amazing horses! We had the amazing Suzie and George!

Have had two lessons here now and hoping to book in for more. First one was with Celeste (hope I’ve spelt that right) and was fantastic really helped my confidence and helped my partner with beginning to ride. Second one was today with Amy and was amazing. My confidence has really came on and my partner and his mother enjoyed their riding lessons too. Can’t wait to come back!
